Sherards Hatch Pre-School
Ofsted No. EY420549
Sherards Hatch is just one of our Pre-Schools in Harlow Essex and is situated within the ward of Great Parndon in the area of Moorfields, and is close to both Kingsmoor Primary school and Milwards Primary School. It is an Ofsted inspected pre-school setting with an ethos focused on learning through play. We believe in creating a setting where children feel safe, confident and comfortable. This enables them to develop their social and interpersonal skills as well as their personal learning, providing them with a solid foundation on which to further their education.
Here at Sherards we are registered to take 2,3 and four years old up to a maximum of 24 per session on a pro-rata basis, and we offer 2 sessions every day.
The Preschool has recently been refurbished with new floors, toilets and reception area, the garden area has a soft play area, a garden for planting vegetables etc. which enhances the children’s learning on how important vegetables are in our diet. The main room has got a home corner, a dedicated reading and quiet area, a shop and an arts and craft section, it also has a dedicated I.t. area.
Here at Sherards we strive to provide as much feedback as possible and offer this in a number of ways: – Face to Face – Based on parent’s feedback so we have opted for a “Parents and children come to nursery sessions” over a standard “parents evening”. This enables you to spend time observing and taking part in the experiences that take place in the nursery and give you opportunity to talk to your child’s key person about your child’s development, as well we do have a key person system in place for all children and their families, allowing us to develop personal relationships with the children and guide their play and learning to fully support and increase their learning potential whilst at pre-school. We have regular open days for you to come and speak with your child’s key person as well as see some of their work.
Our latest Ofsted inspection gave us an outcome of Good (please click here if you would like to read the report)
